You are special!

The Flow of Love is a relatively recent development in evolution but it can drastically change the course of evolution.

Micko says you and all other Clowns are special because you can increase your Love Flow, which will add Love to World LOve Flow!

And by working together to create a World of Love we can create a Superorganism! [] link.

But don’t take Micko’s word for it, make up your own mind!

What is Love Flow?
Micko believes there are three forms of Love Flow: Self-Love, Other-Love, and World-Love.

   Self Love: Caring for self
Loving yourself means accepting and valuing your own worth, regardless of your flaws or external validationIt involves taking care of your physical, emotional, and psychological well-being, setting healthy boundaries, and challenging negative self-talk. Ultimately, it’s about treating yourself with the same kindness, respect, and compassion you would offer to a friend.

Other Love: Caring, empathy, compassion/helping, patience, tolerance

romantic Love

non-romantic Love
   platonic Love
refers to a genuine friendship that can be as intense as a romance but remains non-sexual.

   Being Love
Being Love Maslow-is a form of love given freely without expectation,  It is characterized by genuine concern for another’s welfare, and a sense of mutuality

   Love 2.0
Barbara Fredrickson’s “Love 2.0” redefines love not as a stable relationship, but as micro-moments of connection that can occur between any two people, even strangers. These moments are defined by shared positive emotions, biochemical synchrony, and a mutual investment in each other’s well-being. The concept suggests that love is a biological and physiological experience that can be cultivated and strengthened, improving health, longevity, and overall well-being.

Biochemical synchrony: When we experience these micro-moments of positivity, our bodies react in a synchronized way. This biochemical resonance is linked to the release of hormones like oxytocin, which fosters trust and connection, and a heightened vagal tone which improves our physical, mental, and social flexibility.

World Love: Caring for planet, environment

?comments/dialog for each?

Universal love is the unconditional, selfless love for all existence, encompassing everyone and everything in the universeIt is a concept of oneness, where an individual feels connected to all beings and extends compassion without judgment or expectation. This type of love is often seen as a powerful, transformative force that moves beyond personal attachments to include strangers, nature, and even those who cause harm.

What is Love Flow?

Micko says that Love flows whenever a living being cares about themselves or other beings or the world, whenever a living being shares with another being, whenever a being feels empathy for another, whenever a being shows kindness, when a being feels compassion and wants to help another being, when a being shows patience or tolerance for another being’s behavior or being different, and when a being plays with a ball or with another being even a being from a different species, or when a clown throws a pie in another clown’s face.

Love can flow within a being, between beings or between beings and the world.

Micko believes that we can create a World of Love over many generations, and that we are now at a Tipping Point in that process [link].

And Micko says that each time a clown manifests Love Flow that Love Flow adds Love to World Love Flow!

Can you accept that each time you manifest your Love Flow you add Love to World Love Flow?

Just think if you increased your Love Flow, you would be adding even more Love to World Love Flow!

Go back to your self-eval you did earlier and think about ways you might increase your Love Flow.

Let’s have a discussion of what you come up with.

Micko thinks Micko could show more tolerance for drivers who drive too slow.

Lovesight:

Understanding your Love Flow

Micko says that Lovesight is looking within and seeing our Love Flow and also others’ Love Flow.

Micko thinks that Lovesight the key to the next step in the Evolution of Love Flow. (link)

Lovesight is a variation of Mindsight, that FlowingLove (Daniel Siegel) wrote a book about. Mindsight is looking within and seeing the inner workings of our minds, our thoughts, feelings, dreams, memories, wishes, and also the inner working of other clown’s minds.

Lovesight is similar to Mindsight but it focuses only on Love Flow–caring, sharing, empathy, compassion, tolerance, and stuff like that.

Micko thinks that Lovesight is the key to the Tipping Point in the Evolution of Love Flow (link).

And guess what! You’ve already been engaging in Lovesight!

Collective Lovesight

Swarm Identity

Adopting a Swqrm Identity is a major part of Your Love Flow.

A mental act. A personal pledge. A way of seeing yourself in the world.

Do you want to work with other like-minded clowns to create a better world? a World of Love?

If you answer “Yes” you have accepted a Swarm Identity!

Evolution as an evolving thing and by accepting your Swarm Identity you are showing you want to be part of this Evolution!

Swarm ID emerges as clowns individually and collectively decide to work together for a better world

Micko’s 21 day challenge.

Stuff on the Internet says it takes about 21 days for clowns to develop a new habit. If it’s on the Internet it must be true!

But other stuff on the Internet says it may take from 18 to 264 days, with an average of 66 days to develop a new habit.

Micko doesn’t know.

Since you’ve already shown and interest in all this stuff, Micko has a homework assignment for you:

As you go through your day-to-day living be more aware of your Love Flow. Times when you have positive thoughts, feelings, or even actions, that show caring,  empathy, compassion, tolerance and all of that Love stuff!

The idea will be that you can develop an automatic habit of using your Lovesight to learn about your Love Flow.

Day 1

So, today is Day 1.

Use your Lovesight to look at any Loving thing you did today.

It may be hard at first to do this, because it’s not something we usually do.

If you can’t come up with anyting, focus on the fact that you have spent time on this site learning about your Love Flow. That’s a positive, Loving thing you are doing for yourself.

Loving ourselves is an important part of Love Flow.

Don’t forget to give yourself credit for adding a little more Love to World Love Flow!

Day 2

How are you doing with your Lovesight?

Micko knows it’s not easy at first.

An easy thing you can do for yourself is a gratitude routine. It’s a very popular routine that has emerged in Positive Psychology.

All you have to do is focus on things in your life you are grateful for. Lots of research shows the cool benefits that result from this simple routine,

Don’t forget: All the love you manifest, even self-love, adds Love to World Love.

Day 3

Still struggling with your Lovesight?

That’s OK. Don’t worry about it and for sure don’t put yourself down because of your struggle. Some Clowns take this challenge too seriously and get all flustered.

A simple way to give yourself Love when you get frustrated for any reason is to do 5 deep breaths. This will shift your mental focus to your breathing instead of your frustration, plus it gets more oxygen to your brain!

Don’t forget to give yourself credit for adding a little more Love to World Love Flow!

Day 4

Because you’ve come this far Micko thinks it means you are at least open to the possibility of a World of Love.

If you are trying to look within to see your Love Flow or other clown’s Love Flow you are engaging in the process of creating a World of Love.

Micko doesn’t think we know at this point exactly how engaging in Lovesight will create a world of Love, but Micko thinks over time as more clowns do Lovesight, we will better understand the process.

What will happen for you and other clowns? We will find out. Each clown will find out for themselves, and researchers will find out what their research will show.

This is a type of research called “Action research”, and you are already on the team!

Think about it.

And let’s discuss this in our comments.

On the Internet you could find a variety of 21 day habit trackers that you could use to monitor your Lovesight progress.

Or you could use Micko’s Love Flow Journal on this site. All you have to do is join the site for free and you have access to this calendar, which you can use to monitor your Love Flow progress for as long as you want.

Day 6

How is your Lovesight going?

Love Flow often happens in the little things that we do in our daily lives, like holding a door for another Clown, allowing another driver to go first at an intersection, smiling or making eye contact with another clown. enjoying the smell of flowers, etc.

Have you experienced any of these things recently?

If not, you could do some Positive Self Talk. Just talk to yourself, saying “I am a good person. I am worthy. I have lots of Love to give. I make lots of mistakes but I accept that I’m still a good person”.

Stuff like that.

And don’t forget: Self-Love adds Love to World Love Flow!

Day 7

Have you noticed yourself feeling empathy for another living being recently?

It’s been described as the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

But but it’s suggested not to judge when being empathetic.

What’s your experience?

Day 8

Do you find yourself caring about our world, our planet?

Do you recycle your seltzer bottles? Do you pick up litter on the ground? Do you enjoy being in nature?

Many clowns nowadays are more concerned about our world. Do you see that in other clowns in your life?

Caring for our world is a form of Love Flow, so don’t forget to give yourself credit for adding a little more Love to World Love Flow!

Day 9

Compassion includes an element of empathy, concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others, but some clowns say that compassion also involves an urge to help out in some way.

Have you ever experienced this?

Please share your experience so we can have a  reflective dialog!

Tolerance is another form of Love Flow.

Micko is working on being more tolerant of other clowns who insist on finding exact change when paying for their seltzer water at the store, digging into their little change purse or pockets.

Do you ever have that experience?

Let’s talk about our tolerance work!

Another type of Love Flow is catching ourselves judging other clowns.

Micko sometimes catches Micko judging baseball players who chew gum then just spit it out on the ground instead of putting it in a trash can, but Micko is working on that.

Micko is focusing on Loving Kindness for those clowns.

Do you have any experiences like that?

How are you doing?

Is your Lovesight at least somewhat automatic yet?

If not, not to worry, it will become more automatic.

Are you ready to try a second 21 day challenge?

Micko’s second 21 day challenge: Your Love Experiments

Love Experiments are things you can try to increase your Love Flow.

Having agency means having the ability to make choices and take actions that influence one’s life. It brings a sense of control over events, rather than feeling passively controlled by external forces.

Micko believes that every Clown has agency and can take steps to increase Love Flow for themselves, for other Clowns, and for World Love.

[RC, but not 3 cycles

  • Do a positive self-affirmation routine
  • Consider trying yoga, meditation, mindfulness or some other self-improvement technique.

Day 1

Smiling is such a simple thing to do, yet Micko points out that smiling results in significant physical, mental, and social benefits, such as reduced stress, lowers blood pressure, improved mood, and stronger social connections.

Research shows that smiling, even if forced,  triggers the release of neurotransmitters in our brains
dopamine and serotonin, which help relax the body, lower your heart rate, and decrease cortisol levels.
  • This creates a positive feedback loop, reinforcing feelings of joy and potentially helping to combat anxiety and depression.
  • Acts as a natural painkiller. Endorphins released by smiling are natural pain relievers. This chemical reaction can help reduce physical and emotional discomfort.
  • Boosts the immune system. Lower stress levels and an increase in positive emotions can help strengthen your immune system. The relaxation prompted by smiling allows your body to regulate and recover more effectively.
Social benefits
  • Increases attractiveness and confidence. A smile is a powerful nonverbal cue that communicates confidence, warmth, and self-assurance. People who smile often are perceived as more attractive and approachable.
  • Makes you appear more trustworthy. A study showed that individuals with a good smile are more often perceived as trustworthy during a first impression. This can be valuable in both personal and professional contexts.
  • Is contagious. When you smile, it’s difficult for others not to smile back, an effect known as “social mirroring”. This can create an immediate, positive connection and help foster strong social bonds.
  • Strengthens relationships. By signaling friendliness and openness, smiling can improve rapport and communication. This applies to all kinds of relationships, from platonic friendships to familial bonds.
  • Increases your success. In professional settings, smiling can help increase productivity and positive customer relations. People who smile more frequently may also be more likely to receive tips and raises.

Saying “hello” benefits both the giver and receiver by boosting mood, reducing loneliness, promoting social connections, and enhancing community well-beingThis simple act of kindness fosters a positive atmosphere, builds professional and personal networks, increases confidence, and contributes to a more compassionate and connected world. Greeting others helps people feel seen, valued, and connected, which positively impacts overall well-being.

Benefits for the Receiver:
  • Increases sense of belonging:
    .
A simple greeting can make someone feel recognized, valued, and connected to others.

  • Boosts mood and happiness:
    .
A kind gesture can brighten someone’s day and improve their emotional state.

  • Promotes social connection:
    .
Greeting a stranger can be a starting point for a conversation, leading to a sense of connection and support.

Benefits for the Giver:
  • Boosts mood and happiness:
    .
Engaging in small acts of kindness, such as saying hello, can increase your own happiness and well-being.

  • Increases confidence:

Day 4

LoveBlossoms (Barbara Fredrickson) presents a new and fascinating view of Love, she calls Love 2.0, meaning a newer and more evolved view of what Love is.

She talks about micromoments of Love that happen when 2 or more clowns share positive emotions, strangers at a pie-throwing contest.

Micko thinks that starting a conversation can potentially initiate such a micromoment of Love.

LoveBlossoms says “Love is that micro-moment of warmth and connection that you share with another living being…it’s bigger than joy, amusement, gratitude, or hope…it has special status…our supreme emotion… “makes us come most fully alive and feel most fully human…perhaps the most essential emotional experience for thriving and health…draws you out of your cocoon of self-absorption to attune to others…allows you too really see another person, holistically, with care, concern, and compassion. Within each moment of loving connection, you become sincerely invested in this other person’s well-being, simply for his or her own sake. And the feeling is mutual.” 10

Save this for later…spiral interactions,,,

How is your Love Flow doing?

How did your Love Experiments go?

Let’s have a reflective dialog about  our Love Experiments!

Are you ready for a third 21-day challenge? This one focuses on things that are barriers to increasing your Love Flow.

Micko’s third 21-day challenge: Your barriers

Besides taking steps to directly increase our Love Flow, another important way to do this is to deal with any barriers we have to increasing our Love Flow.

  •
  • Try calming technique, if frustrated or angry, 3-5 deep breaths
  • I message, communication
  •
  • (missed opportunities)
  • Strong anxiety, depression, anger,
    • Self-help books, online
    • Seek professional help

    •
    • You think self-compassion is self-indulgent
    • missed opportunities

Day 1

One of the most common barriers clowns have in the way of Flowing their love, for themselves, others, or the world, is their beliefs.

For instance, some clowns believe that clowns can’t change.

Micko points out that this is clearly not true, because clowns change all the time.

A new brand of seltzer comes out and some clowns switch to the new brand, believing it is the best.

See what Micko means?

Day 2

Another common barrier, on a more personal level, is a clown believing that they can’t change.

Again, Micko points out the many many forms of talk therapy self-help approaches that help clowns improve their lives in many ways.

Micko believes this can be a major barrier when a clown refuses to accept that maybe they too can change.

Day 3

A variation of that barrier is when a clown adopts a negative self-image, such as “I’m stupid”, “I’m a loser”, or “I’m not worthy”.

An example would be when a clown makes a mistake and instead of thinking “I made a mistake, what can I do to fix it”, they think “I’m so stupid”.

This is called explanatory style, which refers to how a clown perceives events.

Negative perceptions can lead to depression and get in the way of positive growth.

Day 5

Another barrier is thinking that there are too many “big problems” to solve.

But Micko points out that all “big problems” have been created by Clowns and therefore can be fixed by Clowns.

Plus, Micko suggests, solving problems is a great growth opportunity,

Micko believes that over the coming generations many young clowns will fix these “big problems”.

Another common barrier is judging others. Judging others gets in the way of having Loving Kindness toward others.

BeingLove (Abraham Maslow),  talked about what he called he called the “Jonah Complex”. This refers to the fear of one’s own greatness, of utilizing one’s best talents, possibly related to anxieties about pride, arrogance, or the responsibility that comes with achieving greatness.

BeingLove talked about a clown’s anxiety about realizing the “godlike possibilities” that some Clowns glimpse within themselves during peak experiences.

In essence, Maslow’s “Jonah Complex” highlights how people can be afraid of fully embracing their potential because of

BeingLove emphasized the importance of facing these fears to achieve self-actualization and to live a truly fulfilling life.

Are you ready for a new challenge?

This 21 day challenge is about your Spiral interactions.

Earlier, in the Love Experiments challenge, you processed your interactions with other clowns and the reciprocal Flow of Love between you and another being.

In this challenge you will learn about how those exchanges can become Spiral exchanges.

Some researcers have suggested that when a reciprocal interaction continues for 3 cycles of back-and-forth engagement it becomes an Upward Spiral.

A Love Spiral.

LoveBlossoms (Barbara Fredrickson) talks about micro-moments of Love that can become out hightst form of Love, and can happen anytime, anyplace, between strangers who share positive emotions.

LoveBlossoms says that each clown in these moments triggers triggers subsequent moments of loving connection, and is both cause and consequence of loving connections.

LoveBlossoms believes that love is connection, a fondness and shared purpose you might unexpectedly feel with a group of strangers who’ve come together to cheer on contestants at a pie-throwing contest

LoveBlossoms adds that Love can blossom  anytime two or more clowns connect over a shared positive emotion, whether mild or strong.

According to LoveBlossoms, Love is the momentary upwelling of three tightly interwoven events:

– a sharing of one or more positive emotions between two or more clowns,
– a synchrony between the clowns’ the other clowns’ biochemistry and behaviors,
– a desire to invest in each other’s well-being that brings mutual care.

LoveBlossoms calls this positivity resonance, when positivity resonates between and among clowns.

LoveBlossoms says this back-and-forth reverberation of positive energy can sustain itself and can grow stronger.

Some other researchers believe that if this back-and-forth process lasts for 3 cycles it becomes an upward spiral.

This idea so impressed Micko that Micko wrote his big paper in Clown College on “Upward spirals of positive well-being!
