Teach young clowns about integrating the many parts of themselves

FlowingLove (Daniel Siegel) suggests parents can help young clowns get “unstuck” when they get “stuck” on a thought or feeling.

For instance, getting stuck thinking about an upcoming pie-throwing contest…being unable to shake the nervousness.

You can remind your young clown about the wheel of awareness, that our minds are like a bicycle tire, and the hub of the tire is our safe place, where we can go to relax our minds and choose what we want to think about.

On the rim of the tire are other things to think about (see the wheel of awareness).
