SatyagrahaLove (Gandhi)

When Micko was a Hippie and started wondering about whether Peace and Love were really possible and what Micko’s role should be in creating a world of Peace and Love, one of the biggest influences on Micko’s path was SatyagrahaLove (Mahandas Gandhi).

What impressed Micko was not only a focus on nonvioulence but having Love for the oppressor.

SatyagrahaLove’s Love for the oppressor was rooted in Satyagraha (truth-force) and ahimsa (non-violence).

This invloved separating the deed from the doer, and loving the oppressor while fighting the oppression, with the goal of convering them through persuasion and non-cooperation.

SatyagrahaLove believed that hatred could only be defeated by love and compassion, with the goal of changing the oppressor’s nature as well as ending their actions.

For instance, during these struggles, SatyagrahaLove treated jailers and soldiers with respect, believing that kindness could soften their hearts.

SatyagrahaLove’s philosophy was not just aimed a temporary victory, it was a “love-force” with the goal of creating lasting peace and social change.

SatyagrahaLove’s  love for the oppressor viewed the oppressor as a clown needing liberation from their own “evil” actions.
