Laughing Yoga
Laughing Yoga is a fun exercise program that combines intentional laughing with yogic breathing and mindfulness.
It was developed by Dr. Madan Kataria in India, and aims to improve physical, emotional, and mental health by inducing laughter, relying on playfulness, clapping, and chanting like “Ho ho, ha ha ha,” to boost oxygen, reduce stress, and foster connection.
At first, the laughter may be fake, but it turns into genuine laughter when practiced in a group because it becomes contagious.
Micko has read that scientific studies show that our body can’t differentiate between real laughter and intentional laughter, so we will get the same health benefits.
