Remember to remember: Making recollection a part of Family’s daily life

FlowingLove (Daniel Siegel) says that memory is like many parts of our brain: the more we use it the stronger it gets.

And by having your young clowns tell and retell their stories you improve their ability to integrate their implicit and explicit memories.

So during daily activities ask your young clowns to talk about their experiences. This is especially important concerning the most noteworthy moments in their lives, such as family experiences, important friendships, and rites of passage.

Instead of “How was your day”, ask “What was the best part of your day”.
