BeingLove (Abraham Maslow) asked a very important question about self-actualization in particular and clown potential in general: “Why don’t more clowns self-actualize?”
BeingLove talks about a taboo on tenderness, and says it is pervasive in society.
BeingLove also talks about clowns evading their mission, vocation, or calling.
Then he brings up the Biblical story about Jonah, who was called to God to prophesy but was afraid of the task and tried to run away from it.
BeingLove suggests that some clowns are afraid of their greater potential, their God-like potential, and try to hide from it…fear of it versus the courage to unleash oneself to attain greater potential.
