Micko says it’s very important to give Love to ourselves because this allows Love to Flow within our bodies due to improved self-perceptions. Loving ourselves allows the Love hormone oxytocin to flow freely through our body.
Self-love means that you accept yourself fully, treat yourself with kindness and respect, and nurture your growth and wellbeing.
Ways we can love ourselves include simply having nice thoughts about ourselves, meditation, mindfulness, positive self-affirmations, gratitude, sending Loving Kindness to ourselves, and eating ice cream.
But some people only know how to allow their Love to flow through their bodies a little bit…a trickle of Love Flow.
Examples of self-talk that only allow a trickle of Love-flow:
-I really Love myself, except when I…screw up, which I do a lot.
-I really Love myself, but I wish I didn’t keep making so may stupid mistakes.
-I really Love myself, except when I drop my my ice cream cone, which I do a lot!
